The London Chuck Berry Sessions
by Chuck Berry
Released: Oct 1972
This half-studio, half-concert shot of Chuck Berry is the iconic rock n roller's best-selling album in his 50-plus year career. The live set, taken from Berry's 1972 performance at the Lanchester Arts Festival, features chatty, raring versions of several fan faves and produced Berry's last radio hit, "Reelin' and Rockin'." The studio side, recorded with the Faces' Kenny Jones and Ian McLagen on drums and piano, offers new originals like the prototypical "Let's Boogie" and the instrumental "London Berry Blues" as well as Berry's take on Little Walter's "Mean Old World."
