The transition from "Secret Breakfast" to "Mirror Kisses" is just brilliant. For five-plus minutes the San Francisco group soaks the noggin in swirling space-folk (think Hawkwind meets pre-Fighting Thin Lizzy). They then ease into mellow West Coast mode, the kind heard on Fleetwood Mac's Bare Trees and Mystery to Me. Needless to say, Citay are real students of early-1970s rock 'n' roll. They know how to synthesize all these obscure little treats into something new and utterly glorious.
