Convoy could have been one of the best country rock bands of the 21st century. Where many Americana outfits were aping Ryan Adams with a dipsomaniac's tear-in-beer sensitivity, Convoy were cranking up their Fender amps and partying in perfect harmony. This album marks the betrayal of their country rock sound for radio pop. Three years following this album, they traded in their affected southern drawl for fake English accents and became Louis XIV. No seriously, they did.
