Copperpot's 2005 debut serves as an appropriate bow for the man who is quickly becoming one of the Midwest's biggest names in underground hip-hop production. Mix Prefuse 73's slice-happy sample aesthetic (which is, itself, a continuation of Premier's boom bap) with Doom's kitchen-sink kitsch, add some of the U.K.'s best emcees (Verb T, Kashmere and Braintax), and you get the basic formula.
