The Story Goes... is Craig David's "difficult" third album, having taken urban suburban in 2001 with Born To Do It. He and Mark "Artful Dodger" Hill have clearly toiled to tailor their sound for the R&B massive, but they remain at their strongest when their roots edge through, as on the opening three tracks.
