As is often the case with C.C.R.'s early records, this fifth album (in two years!) could easily work as a greatest-hits comp. You've likely heard "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Lookin' Out My Back Door," "Travelin' Band," "Up Around the Bend" and "Run Through the Jungle" more than a few times. In 1970, Cosmo's Factory was No. 1 on the pop charts and No. 11 on the R&B charts. That means everybody dug C.C.R. back then. Pretty impressive. In addition to the hits, there is the downright epic "Ramble Tamble," which features one of John Fogerty's top 50 guitar riffs right around 1:51.
