Although CSN&Y have always been the big daddy, the Crosby-Nash tandem produced several cool albums in the mid-'70s. None of them, however, is flawless. That's why The ABC Years is needed. It contains only the cream of this era, before the decadent L.A. scene decimated David Crosby's unique talents for a good 10 years. The dude's angelic voice soars on "Mama Lion" and "Bittersweet." Also included is a riveting live version of Graham Nash's "I Used to Be a King," which chronicles his breakup with Joni Mitchell.
