Live It Up, from 1990, was CS&N's first full-length since 1977. Keeping up with the Joneses, the trio followed Genesis and Don Henley into the AOR sweepstakes. Big beats, punchy synths and hairspray replace the earthy haze of early classics. That said, Stephen Stills' "Haven't We Lost Enough" is a slice of folk-blues, and David Crosby continues his penchant for political anthems with "Yours and Mine." This album contains a freaky middle eight full of reverb-drenched vocals. It should've been given a techno remix.
