After Cut Copy's 2004 debut helped spawn an electro-house frenzy, serving up a similar concoction for seconds would have risked too much of a good thing, particularly after four years. On In Ghost Colours, the Melbourne group says "au revoir" to its fifth member, French producer Philippe Zdar (Cassius, Motorbass), and "hello" to a new one, DFA impresario Tim Goldsworthy. The most excellent results are a fine balance of bird-flu-level contagious indie rock ("Feel the Love," "Unforgettable Season," "Midnight Runner") mixed with loved-up, disco synth-pop ("Out There On the Ice," "Lights & Music").
