Released:
Label: Fueled By Ramen/Atlantic
So it seems that cute is not exactly what CIWWAF is aiming for on their second album. These Buffalo boys have never been quite as whimsical or quick with the lengthy puns as many of their Fueled by Ramen brethren, but on Rotation they've eschewed even the tongue-in-cheek song titles. The album features slower tempos (with a few notable exceptions, like the peppy "Doctor"), shimmering guitars and a heckuva lot of earnestness. "Hollywood" and "Miss Sobriety" get a little sassy without abandoning the requisite sensitivity, and "Time" waxes prettily poignant.
