An archetypal example of England's cross-bred dance music scene, this London combo began life as an Acid Jazz group, but quickly came to encompass influences as broad as Acid House, Dub, Soul and Jungle. Their records are both funky and political, reinforcing their left-leaning messages with a polyglot's desire for new means of musical expression.
