The Atlantan prog-leaning death metal dudes not called Mastodon follow a more traditional attack plan than their massively successful fellow Georgians, and The Concealers, Daath's second album for Roadrunner, will appeal to folks for whom technical brutality (and its attendant mathematically sound riffology) is cause for wiggliness. "The Worthless" is nothing short of epic, and while Daath does go in for the occasional industrial metal move, the high speed chuggery of the opener and the downright beautiful guitars all over "The Unbinding Truth" mean all is forgiven.
