Daevid Allen
Biography
As a member of the seminal Soft Machine and founder of arty, psychedelic wackos Gong, Allen can be considered one of the godfathers of the British Prog Rock movement. His solo material travels a more folksy, introspective course, with pretty melodies, often in a Renaissance vein, and sparse arrangements highlighted by his acoustic guitar work and distinctive singing. Don't worry, Art Rock fans, this is still weird and unique work.
