The best children's music seems to walk the line between simple yet colorful storytelling and a touch of insanity. Crow appears to have both going for him. He never panders to the kids; he just caters to their love of all things silly. With funny noises, great sing-alongs, and a simple acoustic guitar accompaniment, his 1988 debut is an excellent record for the wee ones.
