Danzig

With a resume that includes the legendary bands Samhain and the Misfits, Glenn Danzig's solo project came into being already in high gear. To start off, the first Danzig album was blues-based Metal that explored the darkest themes and exploited Danzig's menacing, muscular image. The band came into its own as one of the premier haunting and sinister riff-based Metal acts, benefiting from Danzig's Jim Morrison-esque vocals and frightening delivery. The music of Danzig takes on a broader scope than his previous incarnations, delving into music as diverse as classically influenced arias and Satan-spawned Black Metal.
