Darker My Love know their rock. Indie, Brit, psych, noise, classic -- it's all embedded in their woozy, fuzzy, harmony-sprinkled rollicks that sometimes turn Spacemen 3 trippy, sometimes Dandy Warhols poppy, Doors eerie, Stone Roses jangly or Beatles pretty. It's a feat to nail down one sound, but these guys adroitly weave in little pockets of surprises like the wah-wah boogie and jam in "Blue Day," McCartney-esque balladry on "White Composition," dawdling feedback on "Add One to the Other One" and orchestral strings on "All the Hurry and Wait." Simply put, 2 rocks.
