David Bisbal's latest release has all the high sheen you'd expect from the Spanish jet-setter: listening to it, you can picture men in linen sweeping through seaside palaces after elusive women. And he hits all the bases, peppering his earnest pop with ballads and some up-tempo rock. He even manages a surprisingly successful reggaeton collaboration with Wisin y Yandel which benefits greatly from its Middle Eastern/flamenco feel, proving that for all the pop pretension, he maintains some flamenco color from his native Andalusia.
