David Byrne and Fatboy Slim join forces for an electro-synth rock opera on the life of Imelda Marcos. Byrne is sympathetic to Marcos' transformation from dirt-poor girl to iconic wife of a brutal dictator, making this a kind of disco-fied Evita for the tracksuit and trainers set. There is an amazing array of vocal talent, with Steve Earle adding some testosterone to a set that features everyone from My Brightest Diamond and St. Vincent to Tori Amos and Cyndi Lauper. Best tracks include "How Are You?" with Nellie McKay, "Never So Big" with Sia, and the Byrne-helmed "American Troglodyte."
