David Kilgour

As one of the founding members of New Zealand's highly influential The Clean, David Kilgour has a solidified reputation to be sure. His work in the lo-fi pop of the Great Unwashed and the more polished sound of Stephen set everything in stone and bronzed it. His gloriously jangling guitars and cracked but stunning harmonies have grown and matured, beginning with his first solo record, Here Come the Cars, released in '92. His dense, florid guitar work and delicate songwriting continue undiminished, another giant talent quietly tooling away in the studio.
