To create this stripped-down five-song collection, DecembeRadio locked themselves inside the Southern Attic Studio near their hometown of Blacksburg, Virginia. The result is some gritty Southern-fried rock, softened by the addition of mandolin, banjo and pedal steel. What this project lacks in length, it makes up for in style, with the experimental format allowing the band to unplug and get creative. Standouts on this rootsy release include an imaginative interpretation of Emmylou Harris' "Deeper Well" and the single "Be Strong."
