Deep Dish's Sharam "Sharam" Tayebi and Ali "Dubfire" Shirazinia hail from Iran, but it was in Washington, D.C. that they established themselves as two of America's top DJs and producers, probing virtually every nook and cranny of house music: deep, tribal, tech, progressive -- you name it. Collaborating with Carl Craig and remixing Madonna, they have proven unusually adept at bridging underground and mainstream, a talent that elevated them to the world's biggest clubs and festivals and earned them frequent-flier status with themed mix CDs touching down in Dubai, Toronto, Moscow, Ibiza and more. In 2006 they increasingly focused on their solo careers, with Dubfire enjoying underground acclaim for his work with Martin Buttrich, his label Desolat and releases on Richie Hawtin's Minus label.
