Vocalist, songwriter and actress Delta Goodrem got her start on Australian television, graduating from commercial spots to dramas while in her teens and eventually landing a gig playing shy-girl Nina Tucker on the popular Australian soap opera, Neighbors. Though she had been an aspiring songwriter from a young age, her music career would follow her career as an actor, resulting in a 2003 debut, Innocent Eyes. She co-wrote the collection of piano-based pop and it debuted at the top spot on Australian charts. That same year, Goodrem was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a cancer of the immune system, and left her acting career to undergo treatment. The treatment was successful and in 2004 she released a dark sophomore LP, Mistaken Identity, which also debut at No. 1 on Australian charts. Three years later, she released Delta, her first LP to be issued in the United States.
