Rejoicing In The Hands
Released: May 2004
Less jarring and much more fully-formed than Banhart's debut. What's striking about these tracks is how well developed they are. The finger-picking style remains, but the songs are more crystallized and less fragmented. "The Body Breaks" is nearly perfect, while the title track (with cult folksinger Vashti Bunyan) is like a whisper in the ear.
