Devin the Dude's first album in three years opens with a wonderful verse about giving money to a homeless man ("Fresh Air") and a determined push to make downtrodden and depressed people "Stop Waitin'" for life. But if you're looking for the Texas rapper's funky, smoked-out and lascivious raps, there's plenty of that too, with "Hear the Sound" and "Probably Should Have." Not all of it works, and his "Your Favorite Radio Station" skits are sometimes funny, other times fogeyish (like when he calls new school rappers "f*ggy swaggy"). Still, it's good to have Devin back.
