The bloom was definitely off the robotic rose, with Devo taking an extended break after this 1984 release. Shout isn't a stinker -- it actually sounds decent, despite lacking songs and seeming rather faceless. This clues you in to how much personality and vision Devo could put into seeming like they were cookie-cutter clones.
