DJ Die

Spiraling out of the same scene that produced Roni Size, DJ Suv and other Drum 'n' Bass stalwarts, DJ Die is a favored son of the U.K. Jungle scene. From his hardcore Techno days as Swabe to more current work with the genre-crossing Breakbeat Era, Die is a DJ who, once he finds his lyrical feet, can send crowds into viciously long throes of electrified ecstasy. Perhaps it's the quirky, jazzy personality of his walking bass tracks, or the snags of soul that peep through his productions, or the relentless energy that bursts into ever more exalted spaces. Whatever his secret, Die continues to be a hard-working, multi-faceted artist who's been instrumental in forging the intelligent, dark, jazzy feel of the Jungle growing out of his native Bristol.
