Biography

Similar to Funkmaster Flex and DJ Clue, New York's DJ Envy built his reputation through parties and mix tapes, as opposed to scratching skills or production. Signed to Clue's Desert Storm label, he released his first major compilation The Desert Storm Mixtape: Blok Party 1 in early 2003. Loaded with jams from big names such as Jay-Z, DMX, Fabolous, and Redman.
