DJ Muggs
Biography
Originally from Queens but representing L.A., DJ Muggs is best known as the master producer behind Cypress Hill. Blessed with an ability to merge roughneck beats with smoked-out vibes and cinematic overtones, Muggs has produced all the Cypress records. He's also worked with House Of Pain, Ice Cube, KRS-One, Xzibit, and many others. He's released two "solo" albums, Muggs Presents the Soul Assassins Chapter 1 and 2. He's also credited with teaching the craft to the Alchemist, who's crafted hits for Mobb Deep, Dilated Peoples and CNN. In 2003, Muggs released a solo album on Anti, a label distributed by Epitaph. The album, Dust, takes him into a new direction: trip-hop.
