Though there's still noise and stuttering rhythms at the periphery, much of the glitchy trip-hop of previous Vadim releases is gone, replaced here by a globally attuned focus on pop. "Feat Feats" co-opts the clanging echoes and slurred patois of dub reggae, while "Talk To Me" feels like the sort of track Raphael Sadiq might produce if that soul producer spent a summer in Russia's white nights. The excellent "Kill Kill Kill" features French emcee Big Red, and the funky "Got to Rock" highlights the "future shock" of Bay Area rapper Zion (of Zion I).
