Biography

Doc Severinson will forever be associated with Johnny Carson and the Tonight Show Band. A hot, swingin' trumpet player who hd stints with Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, and Charlie Barnet, Severinson proved to be a good-natured showman on The Tonight Show. His older recordings are of more interest to Big Band jazz fans than his latest, easier listening, releases.
