The mighty Dokken, unlike Def Leppard and Bon Jovi, haven't renovated their hair metal for the new century. There's no adult contemporary, no Nashville twang, just glossy platforms from which axeman Jon Levin launches an endless barrage of hot lix and razor-wire riffage. Basically imitating the iconic George Lynch, the guitarist could jam with Trixter and still sound gnarly. Of course, Dokken lifers know that their heroes have always rocked harder than the average glam metal act.
