Bob Dylan was in no danger of losing his magisterial position in the folk world to the mystic musings of Donovan. That said, this album points to just how good Donovan was at creating otherworldly scenes that were more akin to mythic, British folk songs dressed up in scarves and bells. "The Entertaining Of A Shy Girl" is like a candy-coated Nick Drake.
