Straddling a strange netherworld between hard and alternative rock, Drivin' N' Cryin' are a southern rock band whose folk focus morphed into a rootsier arena. Though never as successful as contemporaries R.E.M., this band reaped a crop of rock songs over the years that brim with sincere intensity and lyricism that is occasionally worthy of Bob Dylan.
