Dub Colossus's second effort finds Transglobal Underground's Nick Page (aka Dubulah) and his Addis conspirators (vocalists Tsedenia Gebremarkos and Sintayehu "Mimi" Zenebe, pianist Samuel Yirga, jazz cat/saxophonist Feleke Hailu and folk musician Teremage Woretaw) creating continent-jumping club cuts that zigzag from Afropop to Ethiopiques, from lounge to jazz, from desert blues to serious Jamaican dub. Things get a little murky on the album's second half, as if the musicians are a bit too weighed down by their concept. But the first half will keep you firmly in the globetrotting groove.
