Dum Dum Girls' Dee Dee is out of focus again -- just the way she likes it. After a turn as a Chrissie Hynde impersonator on 2011's Only in Dreams, and a tough arena-rocker on the same year's He Gets Me High EP, she's returned with the hazy, but still songful, Too True, her group's tightest collection yet. Creating a late-'80s-college-radio-dream marriage of 10,000 Maniacs and The Cocteau Twins, she floats "Evil Blooms," "Too True to Be Good" and "In the Wake of You" through grunge guitar and multi-tracked jangle, all bedecked with warm reverb and her lighter-than-ever voice.
