An underground favorite based in Boston, Edan is one of the most unusual artists in hip-hop. While many of his peers are revisiting the early '90s sound, he takes it back to the '80s, delivering witty, stylized rhymes merged with bugged-out, effects-laden production. His first LP, Primitive Plus is a freak-rap epic, "Emcees Smoke Crack" is especially ill.
