Disney chooses the stars in its stable carefully, picking the most talented and adorable kiddies around. Emily Osment is both: Her voice is not big or powerful -- actually, it's oddly tinny -- but it is sweet and pleasant, even when she goes full-on Auto-Tune robot ("Lovesick"). Osment is also sweet and pleasant, albeit with a slight edge. In fact, the whole album revels in the new PG edginess all the Disney kids are crazy for, this time with snaking vocal lines, boy-catching lyrics and pounding dance beats. Osment works it, alternating between sassy and slinky, while still being a good girl.
