Ensemble Nipponia

The premier performance group Ensemble Nipponia plays traditional Japanese instruments such as the koto, shakuhachi, biwa, and others. (If this is new to you, think of these instruments as Japan's equivalents to the banjo, dulcimer, dobro, and jaw-harp.) Established in the early 1960s, Ensemble Nipponia still tour and record today.
