Eric Burdon

After stints of erratic greatness in the '60s and early '70s with the Animals and War, respectively, Burdon slipped into virtual anonymity. His voice became grittier and the music less (successfully) experimental, but his range was still impressive and for some time he retained one of the most powerful blues/rock voices in the business.
