Eric Weissberg

Weissberg is a well known multi-instrumentalist and sideman to many folk and pop stars from the '60s and '70s. His agility on banjo, guitar, fiddle and mandolin kept him busy on the road and in the studio with artists ranging from Jim Croce and John Denver to Judy Collins. He has cut numerous folk and Bluegrass records but is probably best known for the song "Dueling Banjos" from the movie Deliverance, played with Steve Mandell. The song was a big hit and transformed Weissberg into a headlining artist.
