Eternal summers may be the hope of kids; as adults we learn even summer means work. But this Virginia trio keeps that hope alive on their second album; their bubbly lo-fi pop is as bratty and free as any teen left home alone on a sunny day: "Mom and dad, please/ You can never enter," Nicole Yun barks on "Wonder." Rounded out by drummer Daniel Cundiff and bassist Jonathan Woods, the band evokes the DIY freedom of '90s indie. Yun sometimes coos like Metric's Emily Haines, but her jangly/fuzzy guitar work is just as notable, from the bouncy "You Kill" and "I Love You" to the hazier "It's Easy."
