Biography

Huge washes of feedback-drenched guitars envelop the listener completely, deconstructing and reinventing texture and melody into a deeply personal, utterly overwhelming hum of blissful movement. Primarily the vehicle of guitarist David Pearce (partner Rachel Brook left in 1997 to pursue her solo project Movietone), Flying Saucer Attack has taken the wall-o-guitars framework built by My Bloody Valentine and Spacemen 3 and exploded its possibilities. Since 1991, Pearce has explored his instrument to the fullest, creating rich sounds and psychedelic atmospheres that would make most guitar geeks wet their pants. Successful collaborations with fellow experimentalists Tele:Funken, Bruce Russell and Roy Montgomery have further expanded FSA's sonic range, bringing sampling and other techniques into the fold.
