Welcome Frances England to the elect group of musicians who identify as children's musicians but belong -- firmly and certainly -- to the school of indie folk. There's nothing flat or forced or overly cheerful about these songs; they're simple, easygoing slices of Americana, with deceptively simple lyrics that speak to all generations. England wears her mantle as a children's musician lightly, which makes the entire album a pleasure to behold. We needed another Elizabeth Mitchell on the scene -- England might just be it.
