Now that Francoise Hardy has settled into being the reigning matriarch of French pop, she can do things like cut this charming duets set. Hardy is as laid-back and mysterious as ever, though her way of dissecting a lyric isn't diminished by sharing the stage with others. Best bets include "Amour, Toujours" with husband Jacques Dutronc; an appropriately dark reading of the famed standard "Que Reste-T-Il de Nos Amours?" with Alain Bashung; and a duet with Benjamin Biolay that he wrote especially for Hardy.
