Biography

Born in Brighton, U.K., English composer and pedagogue Frank Bridge (1879-1941) was one of the most adventuresome British composers to emerge during World War I. There was a resurgence of interest in his late works in the 1970s; until then he was primarily famous for teaching Benjamin Britten.
