I Remember Tommy

I Remember Tommy by Frank Sinatra
Released: Jan 1961
Label: Frank Sinatra Enterprises
Sinatra reunites with arranger Sy Oliver and pays tribute to their old boss, Tommy Dorsey. While Sinatra originally sang these tunes with Dorsey's band, his interpretations here are richer and punchier (and ballads such as "Daybreak" and "Polka Dots and Moonbeams" run deeper). Top honors go to "It Started All Over Again," "Imagination," "East of the Sun" and, best of all, "Without a Song." Frank and Sy have a blast dueting on "One I Love (Belongs to Somebody Else)" (compare this to Sinatra's wrist-slashing ballad reading on No One Cares).
