Biography

A talented session player and leader, Hersch has a lush, chordal style reminiscent of Bill Evans, occasionally breaking into rhythmic flourishes and understated, single-note solos. He's worked with Joe Henderson, Stan Getz and Toots Theilemans and his excellent solo sessions are finally receiving the attention they deserve.
