Sunkissed is the perfect name for an event in Oslo, Norway, given that for the summer months, an all-night party and an all-day party are essentially the same thing. Resident DJs g-HA and Olanskii founded the ongoing party in 2000, and in less than a decade they built it into a renowned outpost for leftfield house and techno, championing a sound they describe as "sleazyfunkyf****dupcutnjackin'elctrodiscominimal-dubacidorganicness." (Also accepted: "Scandomentalism.") Perhaps more importantly, for non-Norwegians, they provided a platform for Norway's growing dance-music scene. The duo's debut mix CD, Sunkissed, features hot properties like Lindstrom, DiskJokke and Bjorn Torske alongside veterans (Mental Overdrive) and even rock bands (120 Days). At once disco infiltrators and ambient ambassadors, g-HA and Olanskii inject nightclubbing with a crucial dose of international relations.
