Label: Blue Thumb
On this 1970 release, soulster Bobby Womack proves to be an inspired foil for guitarist Gabor Szabo, who brings some R&B swagger to his singular post-bop-meets-Hungarian-folk-fusion style. The sleekly catchy "Breezin" became a minor R&B hit, but George Benson's later mega-smash version of the tune really wasn't all that different from the original here.
