Gangsta Boo was a key player in the Three 6 Mafia camp's evolution from horrorcore weirdos to Dirty South stars, with ferocious rhymes that could "tear da club up" like the men. But Enquiring Minds proves that not every great session player can be a soloist. Here, Boo often floats off-beat and struggles to land solid hooks. It's only when she has another voice to play against that she seems to focus, like T-Rock on "N*gga Yeah Know." But the Mafia's Juicy J and DJ Paul deserve blame, too -- they fulfill the stereotype that male producers tend to shortchange female emcees on good beats.
